Benefits of Kindergym

Foster Child-Caregiver Relationships

Kindergym provides meaningful opportunities for children to connect, have fun and explore new activities with the comfort and support of a trusted caregiver by their side.

Social Interaction

Children have the chance to be around peers, observe others, build confidence to interact, and learn to share equipment in a supportive environment. Caregivers also benefit by meeting and connecting with other adults.

Confidence & Wellbeing

Regular participation helps children build self-confidence. Children look forward to Kindergym and experience a genuine sense of joy and excitement each session.

Motor Skills

Children develop a wide range of physical abilities. In Baby Gym, little ones are learning to sit up, crawl, stand, and take their first steps. In Kindergym, children refine these foundational skills through activities that involve climbing, jumping, balancing, and hand–eye coordination.

Communication Skills

Children build early language and literacy foundations through singing and story time during warm-up and cool-down, as well as conversation throughout the session.

Learning Through Movement

Learning through play in a stimulating, non-competitive environment, enables children to develop their skills and confidence in readiness for kindergarten, competitive sport and of course, school.

As the child is accompanied by a caregiver, Kindergym also enables the child and parent to “play” together.

“Parents who have the opportunity to glimpse into their children’s world learn to communicate more effectively with their children and are given another setting to offer gentle, nurturing guidance.

Less verbal children may be able to express their views, experiences, and even frustrations through play, allowing their parents an opportunity to gain a fuller understanding of their perspective.

Quite simply, play offers parents a wonderful opportunity to engage fully with their children.”
